The Metro: Infinity Oscar Party, March 6, 2006

Oscar Metro 6 Local production company Infinity Films, which made the Academy darling Capote with Philip Seymour Hoffman, threw an Oscar-viewing party at Steamworks (375 Water St.) on Sunday to celebrate the film's huge success. Capote received an Oscar (Hoffman won for best actor) and four nominations - a huge breakthrough for Vancouver's film industry, putting us on not only the world stage, but on the red carpet.  We should all be proud!Caption: Rob Merilees (production executive), left, Allie Mickelson (supporting lead in Capote) and Kyle Irving (vice-president of Eagle Vision) celebrated the success of Capote on Sunday.
